Wildlife Help & Resources
At South Hyland Pet Hospital, our focus is on caring for companion animals. While we are not able to rescue or rehabilitate injured or orphaned wildlife, there are licensed organizations that can help.
If you come across an injured or orphaned wild animal, please contact:
Wildlife Rehabilitation and Release | (612) 822-7058
This organization is able to come and rescue wildlife in need.
Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota | (651) 486-9453
This organization is not able to pick up wildlife but can provide expert rehabilitation if you are able to safely transport the animal to their facility.
For your safety and the animal’s well-being:
- Do not attempt to feed or treat the animal.
- Limit handling, as wild animals can be easily stressed and may carry disease.
- Reach out to a licensed wildlife rehabilitator as soon as possible for guidance.
We appreciate your compassion for local wildlife and encourage you to connect with the experts who can provide the specialized care they need.
